God Hunger: Nurturing Our Deepest Desires
March 19 or March 20
9 AM
– 3 PM
“As a deer longs for running water, so my soul longs for you, O God.”
Psalm 42:1
In our quiet moments, we often
encounter a deep longing at the core of our beings. This hunger and yearning is
one of our greatest gifts, the heart of our spiritual quest, yet it can easily
go unattended, both in ourselves and those we companion. An increased awareness
of our deepest desires is key to our developing a fuller and more intimate
relationship with God, ourselves, and others. Particular focus will be given to
assisting participants in nurturing these desires as well as the desires of
those they journey with. The day will include input, prayer, sharing and
discussion.
Presenter: Our presenter is
Robert Howlett, Ed.D., a Pastoral Counselor and Spiritual Director who has spent
over 20 years in doing spiritual direction, leading retreats, and presenting
workshops. He has offered this day
of spiritual enrichment at the Upper Room in New Jersey, Chestnut Hill College
in Philadelphia, the Duncan Conference and Retreat Center in Delray Beach, and
at St. Thomas University in Miami.
