The Center for Spiritual Care

The Center for Spiritual Care is a designated 501C3 non-profit organization.  As co-coordinators, we donate most of our services in the hope and anticipation that others will come forward to assist this ministry financially and with their time and talents.

Our Mission

We Strive to:

• Provide individual and group spiritual direction to people seeking deeper meaning in their lives and relationships.

 

• Bring together, in intentional ways, people seeking a deeper, richer, healthier spiritual life.

 

• Promote awareness of the accessibility of spiritual knowledge, practice and care for everyone.

 

• Encourage the identification of a personal contemplative space for our clients and a daily practice of meditation, introspection or journaling in that space.

 

• Take an active interest in the spiritual welfare of Vero Beach and Indian River County, encouraging ecumenical dialogue and the sharing of prayer forms across religious denominations.

• Support efforts toward holistic health, realizing the integral interaction between body, mind and spirit in people's lives.

 

• Encourage the active participation of adolescents and young adults in the exploration of personal spiritual practices in their search for meaning and purpose in their lives.

 

• Provide access to a spirituality for later years by increasing the participation of senior citizens in personal spirituality support groups and workshops.

 

• Encourage religious institutions that have neither time nor money to provide individualized spiritual care to avail of the Center's programs and services.

 

• Provide alternative prayer and ritual experiences, especially for women.
